Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x and 7.x (Windows)
- Select Internet Options from the Tools menu or, for Version 7, from Tools in the upper right portion of your screen.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click Custom level… in Security level for this zone.
- Scroll down to Scripting, near the bottom of the list.
- Under Active scripting, choose Enable.
- Click OK to leave Security Settings. Click OK to leave
Internet Options.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x (Macintosh)
- Choose Preferences under the Explorer menu.
- Click Web Content under Web Browser.
- In Active Content, check the box next to Enable scripting.
- In Java, click Enable Java. Click OK.
- From the Tools drop-down menu at the top of the browser, select Options….
- On the left side of the dialog box, click the Site Controls category.
- Under “My Settings,” select americanfunds.com in the list.
- Under “Web Features” on the right side of the dialog box, make sure that “Enable JavaScript/VBScript” and “Enable Java” are checked.
- Click OK.
- Select Options... from the Tools drop-down menu.
- Select the Content section from the options at the top of the pop-up page.
- Check the “Block pop-up windows,” “Load images automatically” and “Enable JavaScript” boxes.
- Click OK.
- Select Preferences... from the Safari drop-down menu.
- Select the Security section from the options at the top of the pop-up page.
- Under “Web Content,” check the “Enable plug-ins,” “Enable Java” and “Enable JavaScript” boxes.
- Close the Security window.
